Fall Hair Trend Report 2017

Texture. Undone. Simplicity. Natural.

#fallhairdontcare: The Fall 2017 fashion runways were a source of major inspiration for our favorite new hair trends. What kind of salon company would we be if we didn’t pass these trends on to you?

Heads up –  a simple, structured or unstructured (depending on how you look at it), natural look is trending for your hair transition from summer to fall, so don’t get rid of those tousled, beachy waves just yet.

Color Me Beautiful:
Warm it up! Blondes – enhance your look with some deep blond lowlights or an all-over honey tone. Brunettes, change the tone of your hair with some well-placed auburn lowlights. Are you interested in making a big color change? Transition with some low lights in a hue similar to your end color goal.

Make The Cut:
An extended ‘lob’ and mermaid length tresses were seen across multiple runways. This season is all about embracing your hair’s natural texture. Are you looking for a more dramatic change? Crop cuts can be personalized to your hair texture and face shape. The more individualized the better! Are you stuck in the middle? Add fringe! Depending on your existing cut, go with a curly bang, a sweeping Bardot bang, or a full, blunt bang. Your Salon Herdis stylist will walk you through which look will be best for you.

In Style:
This Fall is all about boosting the basics. Amplify your everyday low pony with a deep side part and tousled, undone ends. If you’re looking for a more formal look, add some volume to the crown of your head with Redken’s Powder Grip 03 Mattifying Hair Powder and twist your hair up into a messy bun or braided crown.

At Salon Herdis, our goal is to inspire you as you define beauty on your own terms. Check back in two weeks for our next blog post! In the meantime, let us know what you want to read about while we help you #lookgoodfeelgood (comment below).
